=== Call for Papers for Topical Collection of the journal Theory of
Computing Systems ===
We are seeking high-quality submissions for a topical collection of the
journal Theory of Computing Systems, with the title
“Advances on String Processing and Information Retrieval 2025”.
This is a special issue containing extended versions of selected papers
from SPIRE 2025 (International Symposium on String Processing and
Information Retrieval); the special issue is, however, open to other
submissions, provided that the topics fall within the scope of SPIRE.
Topics of interest range from string algorithms, text indexing,
combinatorial pattern matching, data compression, to computational
biology and algorithmic aspects of information retrieval. For more
information, see the website
https://link.springer.com/collections/bjeffdaeef
Journal versions of papers previously published in conference proceedings
need to be extended by scientifically significant content, such as
important and nontrivial proofs that were omitted, substantially
generalized or new results, etc. When submitting your paper, please state
clearly if your submission is an extended version of a conference paper and
explain in detail what the extension consists of.
Submission deadline for the Topical Collection: 1 February 2026.
Papers will be published on a "first accepted, first published" basis.
During the submission process, please select the Topical Collection
“Advances in String Processing and Information Retrieval 2025”.
The Guest Editors,
Golnaz Badkobeh, Jonas Ellert, and Jakub Radoszewski
