The 14th International Conference on Grammatical Inference
September 5-7, 2018

It is our pleasure to invite you to submit an abstract for the Work-in-Progress and/or Poster tracks in ICGI 2018, the major forum for presentation and discussion of original research papers on all aspects of grammatical inference. ICGI, which has been organized bi-annually since early nineties, this time will be hosted at Wrocław University of Science and Technology in Wrocław (Poland).
Students/PhD Students will be given nearly 50% discount for the conference fee.
Notice also that we allow reuse of author's previously published article provided it is clearly stated.
Work in progress

Publication types and format

We invite abstracts on work in progress, which can be either theoretical or experimental,
fundamental or application-oriented, solving or proposing important problems.
Abstracts will appear in a conference booklet (not in the proceedings).
Prospective authors are invited to submit an abstract which
represents original work.


All abstracts should be submitted by email to the PC Chair
not later than August 8, 2018.
Abstracts must be submitted in pdf format. The use of LaTeX is strongly encouraged.
We have no special format request other than the following.
The total length of the abstract should not exceed 2 pages except for references.
You are suppose to use the default class for composing an article with the following
options: 11pt, a4paper, twoside.  All references entries put to one .bib file and
in the text use plain bibliography style.
Each abstract should contain title (in the \title command), authors (in the \author command), affiliation and email
address (in the \thanks command used in the \author).

Work-in-progress authors will be notified of acceptance. If a submission is accepted to appear
at the conference, the contact person will receive further instructions regarding the oral
presentation at the conference.

Poster

Publication types and format

  The poster session is an opportunity for presenting late-breaking results, ongoing research projects, and speculative or innovative ideas, which concern all grammatical inference topics including applications, especially in bioinformatics and related areas. Submissions of full posters should conform to the following guidelines: 

  
    The abstract should be written with the same format as described above under Work in progress and shall be sent to the PC Chair electronically by August 8, 2018.
  
  
    The total length of the poster should not exceed an A0-size paper and each poster should contain title, authors,
    affiliation and mailing address.
  


Poster authors will be notified of acceptance. If a submission is accepted to appear at the conference, the contact person will receive further instructions regarding the poster presentation at the conference.
