International Colloquium and Summer School on Algorithm Engineering
Karlsruhe / Bad Herrenalb, September 17-19, 2014.

Algorithms are the driving force behind most nontrivial computer applications. Algorithm Engineering bridges gaps between theory and practice in order to bring the power of sophisticated algorithm into real world applications.

As its concluding event, the DFG Priority Program 1307 "Algorithm Engineering" has invited renowned researchers from inside and outside the project to display the state of the art in algorithm engineering. The colloquium on September 17 features overview talks and may be of interest also to researchers outside algorithmics and from industry. The summer school on September 18-19 is primarily targeted at international PhD students in algorithm engineering.
