The job consists in improving/configuring/expanding </div><div>this platform with all possible techniques according to requests from other teams. </div><div><br></div><div>To be clear, though, and not to waste anyone's time or cause disappointment, don't apply if </div><div>- you don't believe that deeplearning is profoundly changing text search</div><div>- you know nothing about NLP</div><div>- you're not familiar with ML embedding techniques for search</div><div>- you don't know what BERT or a Transformer is</div><div>- you don't know what a Mapreduce is</div><div>- you don't know what a Varuint is</div><div>- you're not practice-oriented</div><div>- you don't know how to code: all Apple engineers code and take part in code reviews, whatever their level. No one do do it for you. </div><div>- you've never handled web-based data</div><div>- you're not ready for intensive work </div><div>- you don't know how to adapt to a changing environment </div><div>- if your ego is too large to accept that your favorite techniques fail miserably, because between academic papers and reality there's often a gulf into which it's easy to fall</div></div><div><br></div><div>but if you're not in one of these cases and you're looking for a challenging, dynamic environment, the job is very interesting.
