<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_extra"><div class="gmail_quote"><span style="font-size:12.8px">Dear Colleague,</span><div style="font-size:12.8px"><br></div><div style="font-size:12.8px">We are pleased to announce that the next <b>Data Compression Conference</b> (DCC '20) will feature another special session on <b>Computation over Compressed Data</b>. This session extends the special sessions at DCC '14, '16 and '18 and we invite you to submit interesting new results you may have both on <b>compact data structures</b> and on <b>compression-aware algorithms</b> (i.e., those that run faster on compressible inputs).</div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><br></div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><span style="font-size:12.8px">The session will be an opportunity for members of our community to confer with each other and reinforce our topics' relevance to the wider field of data compression. </span><span style="font-size:small">Selected papers from the 2014, 2016 and 2018 sessions were invited to special issues of the </span><i style="font-size:small">Journal of Discrete Algorithms</i><span style="font-size:small"> (published March 2017), </span><i style="font-size:small">Algorithmica</i><span style="font-size:small"> (published July 2018) and </span><i style="font-size:small">Information and Computation</i><span style="font-size:small"> (in preparation), respectively.
