Dear Colleagues,

The first edition of the lightWEPA workshop will take place at the University of Pisa on November 26-28, 2025.

Some of you know WEPA, the International Workshop on Enumeration Problems and Applications, a workshop that brings together researchers and students interested in the design, analysis, experimental evaluation and engineering of algorithms for enumeration problems and related applications.

As WEPA is typically organized every other year, lightWEPA was planned after discussion with members of the community, as both a meeting place in the gap year between WEPAs, and a chance to introduce younger members to the problems and techniques.

No prior knowledge on enumeration is required to participate: the workshop will offer seminars and tutorials accessible to people approaching the topic for the first time, as well as discussion space and open problems sessions for more experienced participants, similarly to WEPA.

Two invited speakers at lightWEPA will be Caroline Brosse (Maîtresse de Conférences, Université d'Orléans) and Oscar Defrain (Maître de conférences at Aix-Marseille University).

Participants will be given the chance to give a short presentation on their enumeration results and/or open problems. If you are interested in presenting, you should indicate this in the registration form below.

Registration is free, and available at the following link: https://forms.gle/c4xVCeBGVRnYYMZSA

Please register by November 15, but the earlier the better.

PhD students can indicate in the final notes of the form if they have any specific conditions to count the event as a PhD school, seminar, or other obligation for their career.

More details about the workshop can be found at the web page of the workshop:

We look forward to seeing many of you there.

All the best,

        The organizers

        Alessio Conte (University of Pisa),
        Giulia Punzi (University of Pisa),
        Andrea Marino (University of Florence)
