Highlights of CPM
--------------------------------------------------------

Introduced for the first time in CPM 2019, Highlights of CPM presents the highlights of some recent developments in combinatorial pattern matching published in other venues. This year's highlight papers are (https://cpm2023.u-pem.fr/highlights.html):

Zachary Chase: "Separating words and trace reconstruction" (STOC 2021)

Zoe Xi and William Kuszmaul: "Approximating Dynamic Time Warping Distance Between Run-Length Encoded Strings" (ESA 2022)

--------------------------------------------------------
Venue
--------------------------------------------------------

The venue is situated in Champs-sur-Marne, a district of the city Marne-la-Vallée. It is just a few minutes away from the RER (sub-urban train) station Noisy-Champs. From the station, you can reach the center of Paris in 20 minutes, the main train stations in 40 minutes, and the two main airports (Roissy–Charles-de-Gaulle and Orly) in a bit more than 60 minutes. See https://cpm2023.u-pem.fr/venue.html

--------------------------------------------------------
Summer School
--------------------------------------------------------

* CPM will be preceded by a Summer School on June 24-25, 2023,
which will be held at École normale supérieure in Paris,

   https://cpm2023.u-pem.fr/summer-school.html

* The lecturers of the summer school are:

- Karel Břinda (Inria/IRISA Rennes):
"Under the hood: the role of string algorithms in contemporary biological research"

- Panagiotis Charalampopoulos (Birkbeck, University of London):
"Structural analysis of approximate pattern matching and algorithmic applications"

* Applications to summer school until: June 19, 2023
