20th RECOMB-CG conference

April 14-15, 2023, Istanbul, Turkey

https://recomb-cg.org/

Draft deadline: January 9, 2023

Submission deadline: January 15, 2023

The RECOMB-CG satellite conference was founded in 2003 and brings together
leading researchers in the mathematical, computational, and life sciences
to discuss cutting edge research in comparative genomics, with an emphasis
on computational approaches and novel experimental results. The program
includes invited speakers, contributed talks, and poster sessions. The 20th
RECOMB-CG workshop will be held on April 14–15, 2023, and will be
co-located with RECOMB 2023 in Istanbul, Turkey.

We welcome submission of papers reporting on original research (both
theoretical and experimental) in all areas of computational molecular
biology. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: genome
evolution, genome rearrangements, genomic variation, diversity and
dynamics, computational pangenomics, gene identification and annotation,
methods for genome assembly, cancer evolutionary genomics, comparative
epigenomics, population genomics, phylogenomics and phylodynamics,
paleogenomics, epidemiology and related areas, metagenomics, machine
learning in genomics. We encourage submissions that offer new biological
findings or otherwise highlight their relevance to biology.

Submitted papers must have not been published or submitted for publication
in any other journal or conference with formal proceedings. All accepted
papers will have to be presented by one of the authors at the conference. All
submissions must be made online through the EasyChair submission system, at
the following address: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=recomb2023
<https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=recombcg2020> selecting the
RECOMB-CG track.

A draft PDF file must be received by midnight on Jan 9, 2023 (in a time
zone of your choice). Resubmission of the updated version of the
manuscript will be possible until Jan 15, 2023. Papers must be at most 15
pages long, excluding the bibliography. A clearly marked appendix can be
added to the submission that contains supplementary material made available
to the reviewers.

Accepted papers will be published in the RECOMB-CG proceedings as a
Springer LNBI volume. Authors of selected contributions will be invited to
submit an extended version of the paper for a journal special issue likely
in Journal of Computational Biology (with publication fees; details to be
announced).
