Workshop on Compression, Text, and Algorithms (WCTA 2022)

The 17th Workshop on Compression, Text, and Algorithms (WCTA 2022) (http://spire2022.inf.udec.cl/wcta) will be held in Concepción, Chile, on November 11, the day after SPIRE’22 (http://spire2022.inf.udec.cl), chaired by Adrián Gómez Brandón and Massimiliano Rossi. WCTA is a forum primarily for early-stage researchers to present their work; there are no published proceedings so the results presented can also be submitted to most other workshops and conferences.


      We encourage junior members of our community to submit a one-page abstract (not including references) containing preferably unpublished work, work in progress, surveys of interest, and open problems, among others. WCTA has no published proceedings, so the results presented can also be submitted to other workshops and conferences. Due to the current circumstances, WCTA will be held both in-person and online.

Scholarships

Scholarships for the in-person registration at SPIRE will be available for students with accepted abstracts in WCTA. For application, please fill the following form: https://forms.gle/jxqYZVcYwBUXnSeH8. The deadline for grant applications is October 3rd, 2022 (anywhere on Earth) and the notifications will be sent out on October 10th, 2022.
