[CPM-SPIRE-L] Two graduate student positions at Dalhousie University

Dear all,

I have funding for two graduate students, MSc or PhD, to work on compact data structures with applications to bioinformatics here at the Faculty of Computer Science of Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada.  My current research focuses on indexes based on the Burrows-Wheeler Transform; see https://dblp.uni-trier.de/pers/hd/g/Gagie:Travis .  Applicants should be skilled both in designing algorithms and data structures and in implementing them, ideally with a proven track record of research.  The starting date is negotiable and applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.
