***********************************************

Dear Colleagues,

The submission deadline for the special issue "Bioinformatics Algorithms
and Applications" has been extended until December 1, 2017.

The special issue will be published in the Algorithms open-access
journal (ISSN 1999-4893) by MDPI and will contain select papers
presented at the BiATA conference held in St. Petersburg last August.
It is also fully open to all who want to contribute by submitting a
relevant
research manuscript. As a guest editor of this special issue, I cordially
invite you to submit papers on the relevant topics.

Relevant topics include but not limited to:

* Sequencing technologies
* Molecular sequence analysis
* Computational genomics
* Genome assembly
* Transcriptomics
* Metagenomics
* Immunogenomics

Manuscripts should be submitted online as instructed at the website:
http://www.mdpi.com/journal/algorithms/special_issues/biata

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor
be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference
proceedings papers). All manuscripts will be thoroughly refereed
through a single-blind peer-review process. The Article Processing
Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 550 CHF
(Swiss Francs). Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the top five papers
will get a waiver of the article processing charges and thus be
published free of charge.
