Dear All,

On behalf of the Algorithms & Bioinformatics group (Informatics Department) at King’s College London, we are pleased to announce that the call is now open for submission of abstracts to the first international student conference on Mathematical Foundations in Bioinformatics (MatBio 2016). The conference will be held on 20th of July, 2016 and is sponsored by the Department of Informatics at King’s College London and the London Mathematical Society.

Further details of the conference have been appended below and can also be accessed via bit.ly/MatBio2016<http://bit.ly/MatBio2016>. The deadlines for the abstract submission is 20th of June 2016 and for travel-support application is 06th of July 2016.

Please help us to share the word among students by disseminating the information and encouraging them to submit their contributions. Following the conference, selected abstracts will be invited to submit full papers to a special issue of the International Journal of Foundations in Computer Science.

Thank you very much for your kind support. Should you have any questions or queries at any time, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,

Organized by:

Students of the Algorithms & Bioinformatics group
Department of Informatics
King’s College London

The students of the Algorithms & Bioinformatics group at King’s College London invite research students to submit abstracts to present their work at the first International Student Conference on Mathematical Foundations in Bioinformatics, sponsored by the Department of Informatics at King’s College London and the London Mathematical Society.

AIMS:

MatBio is a student-conference intending to cover the wide spectrum of mathematical/computational foundations in Bioinformatics. The conference aims at encouraging excellent research by attracting contribution to string and graph algorithms for handling various problems arising in Bioinformatics. Following the conference, selected abstracts will be invited to submit full papers to a special issue of the International Journal of Foundations in Computer Science.
